The MONS Project

The Mons Greenstone Belt is located 370km north-east of Perth and 140km north-northwest of Southern Cross in Western Australia, a Tier 1 jurisdiction.

MONS Project

The Mons Project was established in 2021, underpinned by several years of prior exploration carried out by members of the Nimy team that culminated in the identification of a previously unrecognised Western Australian greenstone belt. The Mons Greenstone Belt spans approximately 3,167km², positioned between the world-class Forrestania greenstone belt to the south and the Younami granite-greenstone terrane to the north.

Early work in the project’s southern half revealed thick, nickel-fertile komatiite flows, while exploration of the northern half has delivered two standout results: the world-class Mons Gallium Block 3 discovery and the highly prospective Masson Cu-Ni-PGE sulphide discovery.

Since active exploration began in 2022, Nimy Resources has uncovered widespread evidence of diverse and significant mineralisation across the project area. Commodities recorded at anomalous levels include cobalt, copper, gallium, gold, lithium, nickel, rare earth elements and silver.

The Mons Gallium Block 3 resource is currently progressing through scoping study, with results anticipated by late Q2 2026. Near-term exploration efforts remain focused on three key targets: the Mons Gallium Block 3 resource, the Masson copper prospect, and the recently identified Corporate James gold prospect.

Mons Gallium, Block 3

Our Mons Gallium Block 3 discovery represents a major achievement for Nimy and positions us at the forefront of the growing critical minerals sector. Through systematic exploration and drilling, we have defined a maiden JORC Inferred Resource of 7.23 million tonnes grading 102g/t Ga₂O₃, containing approximately 740 tonnes of gallium trioxide, alongside a valuable rare earth element component. The current resource is based only on the oxide and transition zones to a depth of around 100 metres, while known mineralisation below this depth remains open and offers significant upside potential.

We have expanded the discovery footprint through continued drilling and soil sampling, with the high-grade mineralised zone now extending across a substantial area. We believe Block 3 could become an important future source of gallium for Western markets, supporting advanced technologies such as semiconductors, artificial intelligence, defence systems, and renewable energy applications. As we progress exploration and development, our focus remains on growing the resource and unlocking its full strategic value.

Masson Discovery

The Masson Discovery is one of the most important milestones for our MONS Project and validates our exploration strategy. After identifying the target through detailed airborne and ground electromagnetic surveys, our first drill hole successfully intersected massive and semi-massive sulphides containing nickel, copper, cobalt, platinum group elements (PGEs), and silver. This confirmed that we had discovered a significant mineralised system.

As we continued drilling, we expanded the known extent of the mineralisation to a strike length of approximately 240 metres, with the system remaining open along strike and at depth. We have also identified higher-grade copper zones within the broader sulphide body, further highlighting the project’s potential.

We believe the Masson Discovery could represent part of a much larger intrusive system across the MONS Project. With multiple geophysical targets and soil anomalies still to be tested, we see significant opportunity to build on this success and unlock further discoveries in the region.

Corporate James

The Corporate James Discovery is an exciting step forward in unlocking the gold potential of our Mons Project. Through our extensive Ultrafine soil sampling program, we identified a coherent gold anomaly extending approximately 16 kilometres along the eastern margin of the Mons Greenstone Belt. Within this corridor, we have defined the Corporate James Prospect as our highest-priority target, with the strongest gold-in-soil results occurring over a 720-metre strike.

What gives us additional confidence is the presence of a suite of pathfinder elements, including arsenic, antimony, bismuth, molybdenum, silver, tellurium, and tungsten, which support the potential for a significant mineralised system. Independent CSIRO regolith mapping has also confirmed that these anomalies originate from residual soils, strengthening our belief that they reflect underlying bedrock mineralisation.

We believe Corporate James could become a major gold discovery within the Mons Belt, and with drilling now being planned, our focus is on testing the source of these highly encouraging results and expanding the opportunity across the broader district.

Current Prospects

Exploration success with scale

  • Exploring a new 80km x 30km Greenstone Belt in the Yilgarn Craton, 370 kms northeast of Perth.
  • Discovery made at the Masson Prospect with a sub vertical copper lens of >1% copper from 126 – 298m (172m downhole depth) open in all directions
  • Discovery is within an interpreted intrusive stretching 6kms across by 9kms long, one of 5 such geological settings (also containing similar VTEM responses).
  • Successful application of hitech approach (VTEM, MLEM, DHEM, GAIP, Dipole, soil sampling) to exploration.
  • High copper equivalent within mineralisation zone extending 240m along strike and contains high copper, nickel, cobalt, PGE’s and silver
  • High grade gallium discovered at Block 3, an emerging listed critical metal used in manufacture of semi conductor chips.
