CSIRO Kick-Start program funding for Gallium Exploration Regolith Research

Nimy Resources (ASX:NIM) is pleased to announce that it has entered into an agreement with Australia’s national science agency CSIRO, supported by their Kick-Start program, to commence the Regolith Research study. This study aims to develop a geomorphic model to enhance the confidence in gallium exploration within the Mons Project in Western Australia.

Aims of the CSIRO Kick-Start program

  • The regolith research will focus on the Block 3 Gallium Resource
  • The research will utilise cutting edge machine learning and scientific expertise
  • The findings from the project will be utilised in improving the understanding of in-situ and transported regolith at Mons and how gallium and associated pathfinders move through these environments.

Nimy Managing Director Luke Hampson said:

We are pleased to commence further collaborating with CSIRO, Australia’s national science agency.
The focus of the project will be on the Block 3 Gallium Prospect, building upon the recently developed CSIRO LandScape+® Model, to develop a more refined geomorphic province model. This is an important collaboration for Nimy, our exploration findings from the studies will assist in targeting on both an individual deposit and regional scale, focusing on additional high-grade gallium resource tonnes”.

This announcement has been approved for release by the Board of Nimy Resources.
