Systematic geophysical surveys to target significant base and precious
metal mineralisation at the Mons Project
Key points:
The large-scale Electromagnetic (EM) surveys have been designed targeting four large areas following up
previously drilled significant base and precious metal mineralisation:
- Masson (Cu-Ni-PGE) intrusive targeting feeder zone of magmatic massive sulphide mineralisation in initial drilling
- Masson – Northeast targeting extension and repeats of the drilled Masson magmatic massive sulphide mineralisation
- Sneaky Squirrel (Cu-Zn-Au) – VHMS targeting extension of the drilled Cu-Zn-Au mineralisation beneath the Sneaky Squirrel Gossan
- The Block 3 base metal (Cu-Zn) – mineralisation association with the high-grade Mons Gallium resource (chlorite hosted hydrothermally emplaced)
Nimy Resources Limited (ASX: NIM) (Nimy or the Company) is pleased to announce the imminent commencement of a comprehensive ground Electromagnetic (EM) survey program across multiple highpriority prospects at its Mons Project in Western Australia. The program is designed and recommended by independent geophysics consultants Newexco Exploration Pty Ltd and represents a significant step forward in the Company’s systematic exploration of one of WA’s most compelling underexplored multicommodity greenstone targets.
The EM survey will target conductive sources previously identified in airborne electromagnetic (VTEM) datasets, exploration drilling and extensive soil sampling with the objective of delineating discrete, drill targets associated with sulphide mineralisation systems across the Masson, Masson NE, Sneaky Squirrel and Block 3 Prospects.
Nimy Resources Managing Director Luke Hampson said
The ground EM program follows up our drill success and continues on the pathway of systematic evaluation of the Mons Greenstone Belt Project. Initial drilling of the Mons tenements EM targets demonstrated a highly prospective combination of Volcanogenic Hosted Massive Sulphide (VHMS) and magmatic sulphide base and precious metals, and this comprehensive survey — spanning four prospect areas — will significantly de-risk our drill targeting and bring us closer to identifying economic mineralisation. We look forward to reporting results as the program progresses and initial drill targets are prioritised.”
